1. What surprised you the most during your workcamp/EVS?

My big surprise was discovering the support, and good welcoming during all the time of my EVS experience: the local team that host me was always there to help me and sort out my problems. It was a new experience inside a different and new culture and environment for me, and all of them was really open to introduce me in the new world.

2. What was the biggest fear you had before the project and how did you managed to overcome it?

I was accepted in the project really soon, and I didn’t have a lot of time to think about fears and doubts: so, I was really excited for the upcoming experience and during my first travel alone I realize that without this opportunity my first travel abroad could be more complicated.

3. What did you learn or what did you bring back with you (new knowledges, new feelings, memories, etc.)?

The EVS help me to grow-up, and become more independent (for example travel in a country far from my home, do all the legal documents alone,) to have more self-confidence and be more open and tolerant with other points of views. I learn how to communicate with others in English, and I evolved my confidence to speak another language.

4. What advice would you give to someone about to take part in a workcamp for the first time?

Don’t be afraid to leave your country and follow your dream and passion, because otherwise you will regret in the future! Also before to go just read and try to get more information at possible about the country and the culture that will host you, this will help you to understand the local society and the people around your personal life.

4. Anything else you want to share?

The experience abroad teach me a lot about the new country, but above all about myself, my limits, my interest and what I want for my future. I meet nice people during my experience, and all of that became a strong friends for me.
